BookReader respects your privacy and gives you complete control over your data. You have the right to request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. This page explains how to delete your account and what data will be removed.
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our Firebase database:
Note: EPUB files you uploaded are not stored on our servers by default (they remain on your device). However, any reading data associated with your account will be deleted.
Follow these steps to delete your account directly from the BookReader app:
⚠️ WARNING: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data will be immediately deleted from Firebase.
Your account is immediately deactivated and all data is marked for deletion in our Firebase database.
All data is permanently purged from Firebase backup systems and archives. Full compliance with data retention policies.

A: No. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Please ensure you have backed up any important reading notes or data before requesting deletion.
A: Yes, you can create a new account with the same or different email address. Your previous data will not be accessible.
A: Your account is immediately deactivated. Complete removal from all backup systems occurs within 30 days.
A: EPUB files remain on your device. You are responsible for deleting them manually from your device's storage.
A: BookReader does not back up to Google Drive or cloud storage. All data is stored in Firebase only and will be deleted as described above.
A: Yes, you can request deletion for another user by emailing privacy@bookreader.app with their email address. We will verify authorization.
